Coroner identifies Henderson man killed in 3-vehicle crash

Fatal collision

A 44-year-old man killed in a three-vehicle crash this past weekend on Eastern Avenue was identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as James Desjardins of Henderson.

Authorities said Desjardins died after his northbound 1982 Cobra Roadster crossed the median at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday and crashed into a southbound 2006 Audi A-6. The collision occurred north of Eastern's intersection with Coronado Center Drive.

Desjardins was thrown from the vehicle and taken to St. Rose Siena Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Audi, identified as Jamie Bringhurst, 32, of Henderson, was treated for injuries at St. Rose and released. The occupants of a third vehicle involved in the crash weren't injured.

The cause of death hasn’t been determined, the coroner’s office said. Police said they haven't determined what caused Desjardins to cross the median and are awaiting the results of blood-alcohol and drug tests.
