Man fatally shot at apartment complex near downtown

Metro Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night at an apartment complex north of downtown.

Police spokesman Marcus Martin said the man, identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as 46-year-old Larios Suchite, was shot about 8:35 p.m. inside an apartment in the 500 block of North 13th Street near East Bonanza Road and North Bruce Street.

Suchite was in the apartment with a woman when two men walked in and shot him in the head, Martin said. He was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, but died from his injury, police said. The coroner’s office has ruled his death a homicide.

Martin said homicide detectives are searching for suspects.
