Former Clark County DA withdraws from Senate race

CARSON CITY – Former Clark County District Attorney Roy Woofter has withdrawn from the race for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate.

Woofter filed his candidacy March 8 but has bowed out of the race on the final day to withdraw.

Also pulling out of the U.S. Senate contest was Republican Sherry Brooks of Reno.

Today is the deadline for candidates to withdraw or their name will be placed on the primary election ballot.
