Pedestrian critically injured
A man injured in a fight was lying in the parking lot of a convenience store waiting for an ambulance Wednesday when a car pulled in and ran him over, Metro Police said.
The 43-year-old man, whose name was not released, was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, police said.
The driver of the car, a 34-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken into custody, and the accident remained under investigation, police said.
The incident took place about 3:50 p.m. at a convenience store in the 4800 block of West Tropicana Avenue. Witnesses detained the driver of the car until police arrived, officials said.
