Howard Dean, Karl Rove to debate at UNLV next month

Former presidential candidate Howard Dean and Karl Rove, former senior adviser for George W. Bush, will debate April 9 at UNLV.

The debate is part of the Barrick Lecture Series and will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets will be required.

Rove and Dean will debate foreign affairs, health care reform and economic issues.

Dean is now a frequent contributor to CNBC and founder of Democracy for America, a progressive activist group. Rove, a political strategist, is a contributor to Fox News and The Wall Street Journal.

Tickets will be available beginning at 10 a.m. March 20. They will be distributed at the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office near Cottage Grove Avenue at South Maryland Parkway. There is a two-ticket limit per person.
