Nellis Air Force Base
A man has been taken into custody after allegedly making bomb threats to Nellis Air Force Base personnel Friday afternoon, Metro Police said.
Metro Police Lt. Dan McGrath said the man was taken into custody about 3:30 p.m. after pulling up to the main gate and making bomb threats. He said officers searched the man’s car but did not find any explosives.
Nellis spokesman Eugene Hill said the main gate to the base was shut down at about 3 p.m. as a result of the incident. The gate will remain closed until officials finish their investigation, authorities said.
The incident did not impact operations at the base, Air Force officials said.
The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is taking over the investigation, McGrath said.
No further information was immediately released about the man taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing and officials were still at the scene Friday night.
North Las Vegas Boulevard near East Craig Road was shut down during the incident but has been reopened.

Probably just some crackhead from that wonderful neighborhood.
I wonder if it was one of the Muslims caught by the Henderson PD in an Albertson's parking lot, barking chants to Mecca alongside 5 other Muslims, who were detained by the HPD for suspicious activity?
Naaa, im almost sure it was one of my many war veteran friends that have to constantly fight for their VA benefits each time they get shined on for denied treatment or get downgraded over and over on their disability rating...
They tell me it's like an additional 40 hour a week job to have to fight the VA.
One of many that will end up going postal on the government again.
It was someone that thought he was late for a union meeting and then realized he wasnt at the union hall...ooops

If the man had been Muslim, they would have been sure to mention that, in the article. Most reporters also make mention of the race, of all non-caucasians.
My guess is; this was a white guy.
I'd have bet it was a clueless minority type. They always pick a fight with authority figures who are armed with superior weapons. Having spent several years in the special forces, and now with experience in the VFW and Legion command ranks, I see that most vets with legitimate claims are fairly treated by the government, and those that take an abnormal amount of time to be serviced are dubious in nature to begin with. Any system isn't perfect and watchdog groups like ours have fought like hell for those that were in the uniformed services, but let's not forget that the VA is a bureaucracy, within an imperfect central government.
