You've got some tough decisions this holiday weekend. Sparklers or bottle rockets. Hot dogs or hamburgers. And to top it all off, where to get your laugh on. Three great comedians will be in town—all on Friday, July 2.
The tale of the tape: Joe Rogan: A stand-up veteran, as well-known for his work with UFC (and yes, Fear Factor) as what he does onstage in a club. Rogan's comedy tends toward the very adult, so he's our pick for folks looking for something edgy. 7 p.m., $31, House of Blues. 632-7600.
David Alan Grier: Most comics start in stand-up and move to TV and film. Grier did it in reverse. And it turns out he's quite good at both. In fact, only Robin Williams can match Grier for pure improv ability. If you like your humor unpredictable, this is the show to see. 9 p.m., $30-$45, Mandalay Bay Theatre. 632-7580.
Bill Cosby: A comedy institution for five decades, Cosby is known to most for his smash NBC series The Cosby Show, but his best stand-up routines remain timeless. For the nostalgic wanting to see a true legend, this is a no-brainer. 7/2, 7 p.m., $65-$87, Treasure Island. 894-7722.
