Project location
Southbound traffic is being restricted to one lane near the intersection of Harmon Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard because of a construction project, police said.
Metro Police Sgt. Andrew Walsh said a company placed construction barriers near the intersection, leaving only one southbound lane open on Las Vegas Boulevard. The company has a permit to perform the construction through Wednesday.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area if possible.

It might be nice to know who the construction company is and how the deal was struck to reduce traffic down to one lane. This effectively turned southbound traffic on the strip into a parking lot around 1:30 am! Was that really necessary?
