Metro Police today released photos of a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery last week in the western valley.
Authorities said the men entered a bank at 1:10 p.m. Friday in the area of Buffalo Drive and Flamingo Road while talking on a cell phone. Police said he approached a teller and presented a note demanding money.
The teller complied and the suspect ran from the scene, officials said. Police weren't releasing the name of the bank that was robbed.
The suspect was described as black and 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-4-inches tall with a thin build, wearing a green flannel shirt and a dark ball cap. The suspect also wore a black wig tied into a ponytail and was described as having long sideburns.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the Metro Police Robbery Section at (702) 828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.

You think the beat cops would know who this guy is unless he was a criminal just in from LA.
Looks like a real pimp-azz OG, lol.. A real pro. He might as well have just smiled at the camera and waved.
Lol. No attempt to conceal that identity. Wow. This should be a tough one to crack.
Although I didn't view the video of this event - how does a teller hand over cash with just a note demanding money? If it were that easy, everyone would be robbing banks! Was there a weapon? Was this news reporter being vague on purpose or what?
where's the photos? duh!
Hi Tom, very good question. We're having issues with a server, which is why some photos are appearing as broken images in a few places on the site. We're working on the issue and hope to have everything back to normal ASAP.

Threat robberies are the most common kind. The sentencing guidelines are less when no weapon is involved, they are more when there is a weapon and even more if a weapon is fired even if no one is hit. Obviously if someone is hit then that is an extra charge - attempted murder or murder. Thats how the federal system works.
Yes, the tellers are instructed to hand over the money just based on a threat.
To mtngirl: that's what tellers are trained to do. Losing a bag of cash is better than someone getting shot in your lobby.
"Police weren't releasing the name of the bank that was robbed."
Why is this? So we can all play armchair CSI? "Let's see, Buffalo and Flamingo. With the angle of the sun in those photos, it must be...wait! Zoom and enhance that license plate!"
nothing coming up to see?

It's usually much smarter to not ask to see the weapon. It's still bank robbery and a federal crime that will follow them across state lines.
Typical Metro morons. This robbery occured last week and it takes until today to get photos. These homies are back in the hood.
mtngirl, what would you do when someone hands you a note that says gimme your money or I blow your brains out?
