Alan Larson is finance director and Tim Lewis is service manger for Carter Powersports.

Jeffrey Cummings is director of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. He will lead the center’s research and operations in Las Vegas and Cleveland and will be responsible for developing the center’s research capabilities and clinical programs, including the initiation of new drug development programs for neurodegenerative disorders. Cummings will also develop Cleveland Clinic brain health research related to brain injuries and neurorehabilitation.

Dylan Wint is a researcher in neurocognitive diseases for the center. He is board certified in psychiatry and neurology and has committed his career to understanding and treating neural-based bahavioral disorders. He will participate in clinical and research programs in this area and will lead the center’s professional education programs. Wint received his medical degree at the University of Miami School and completed his training at the University of Florida and the National Institutes of Health.

Patty Kelley, former president of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, recently graduated from the National Association of Realtors’ Leadership Academy. She was one of 27 Realtors to graduate and the only one from Nevada.

Cory Lutz was promoted to respite/pantry coordinator for Helping Hands of Vegas Valley. In her new position, Lutz oversees the respite care program and low-income food pantry for the senior service agency. Previously, Lutz served as the transportation coordinator for HHOVV, where she scheduled all incoming client requests for rides with the organization’s handicapped passenger van and volunteer drivers. HHOVV provides assistance to Southern Nevada seniors to promote independence, including a food pantry for low-income clients, transportation and respite care vouchers. Before joining HHOVV, Lutz served as an administrative assistant at Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada and MOSER Architecture, both in Las Vegas.

Robert Ferrari is studio manager at the International Academy of Design and Technology. Ferrari will oversee the design, installation and management of IADT’s professional grade audio studio, which is in the preliminary planning stages. Before joining IADT, Ferrari managed the design and build-out of the 7,000-square-foot recording space at Odds On Recording. He also worked on recording systems at Platinum Sound Labs, Studio Vegas and LP Studios. Throughout his career, he has worked with artists including the Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones, Wayne Newton, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and more.

Bill Garness was promoted to general sales manager at Lexus of Las Vegas. Garness has worked in the automotive industry since 1995, and has worked for Lexus of Las Vegas for three years.

Sheryl Therrien was promoted to clinical manager for Nathan Adelson Hospice. She previously served as field nurse for the organization. In her new position, Therrien manages the hospice’s north homecare and nursing home teams. She worked as a primary nurse for Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada before joining Nathan Adelson Hospice. She also previously served as charge nurse for Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas.

Rosamari McNulty is senior director of human resources and volunteer services for the hospice. In her new position, McNulty oversees all human resources functions and volunteer services for the organization. Before joining Nathan Adelson Hospice, she served as director of human resources for University Health System, the clinical practice of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where she oversaw human resource functions for practice plan clinics. She previously served as director of human resources for Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson and as director of human resources for Lake Mead Hospital Medical Center in North Las Vegas.

Tony Gladney, vice president of national diversity relations with Harrah’s Entertainment, received the Corporate Leadership Award at the Spirit of Democracy Awards Gala from the Natioanl Coalition of Black Civic Participation.

Mickael Yackira, president and CEO of NV Energy, is vice chairman of the Nevada Cancer Institute.

Bernabe Duran is leadership training adviser with Rapport Leadership International.

Kieran Wilson was promoted to senior manager of sales and marketing for Red Carpet Marketing & Public Relations.

Corporate giving

U.S. Bank recruited 33 employees to volunteer in classrooms at Roundy Elementary School for Junior Achievement’s “JA in a Day” event.

Windermere Real Estate has selected HopeLink to receive the entire 2009 endowment from the company’s charitable foundation. The $25,000 donation will go toward homelessness prevention efforts.

Miscellaneous

Anthem Education Group’s family of schools is undergoing a name change to unify 23 schools. As part of this process, the High-Tech Institute location in Las Vegas has been renamed Anthem Institute.
