As regional director of purchasing for Pardee Homes – one of the largest and longest-established home builders in Southern Nevada – Bill Hughes oversees and approves contracts, change orders and budgets for onsite and offsite work. Pardee Homes currently is building homes in neighborhoods and communities throughout Southern Nevada, in addition to infrastructure development now underway at the 42,000-acre, master-planned Coyote Springs project 50 miles north of Las Vegas. With Pardee since 1989, Hughes has earned the Pardee Homes President’s Award in 2002, the Weyerhaeuser President’s Award in 2004 and the WRECO President’s Award in 2007. He previously headed his own building and remodeling company in Phoenix, where he also served as superintendent and project manager for other large builders. Hughes received a BS in Business Administration from Arizona State University. Hughes played a significant role in the $1 million renovation at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children by putting the processes in place that attracted more than 130 contractors, suppliers and consultants to donate their time and materials and to work with Pardee as the lead builder on behalf of HomeAid Southern Nevada. Pardee Homes received the 2008 Governor’s Points of Light Award for corporate community service for its role in the renovation.
