Sen. Harry Reid and the Nevada congressional delegation need to listen to voters. From the primary election coverage, one of the main complaints of voters is the horrific federal budget deficit.
Our country is headed over a cliff. If the deficit is not addressed, the United States will have the economic turmoil that Greece is experiencing now. That would make our current problems seem mild.
A massive cut in federal spending is needed. There is so much in the budget that can and should be cut.
Tax increases should only be considered after as much spending as possible has been cut. However, I fear that any revenue generated by increased federal taxes will be spent by an out-of-control Democratic Congress.
