Reid should be a shoo-in against unelectable Angle

After reading the Las Vegas Sun and watching television news programs, I have concluded that Republican Senate nominee Sharron Angle seems to be a little out of touch.

Her conservative views and the things she says seem to come out of left field.

Some examples:

• She has a “calling” from God to run against Harry Reid.

• She wants to do away with Social Security and Medicare.

• She was against Harry Reid calling CityCenter’s financiers to keep construction going.

• She says “it’s not my job” to create jobs in Nevada.

• She doesn’t believe in abortion, even in cases of incest.

Her views paint her as an extreme conservative, but the Republican Party thinks she is the one who will beat Reid in November — and it is backing her 100 percent, no matter how stupid and inflammatory her views may be.

Now, I’m no Harry Reid supporter. In fact, I don’t think he should continue as one of Nevada’s senators. But since the Republican Party is so strongly backing the “unelectable” Angle, Reid should handily win re-election in November.
