“Will the models be wearing the paintings... like a sandwich board?” I wondered on the way to Nu Sanctuary Lounge. The art-inspired fashion show/fundraiser on July 15 promised art and models would merge, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
For the event, svelte beauties with outrageous hair and makeup did not actually wear the paintings by Vegas artist Oryan, but rather became extensions of the artwork as they strutted the runway in cat suits painted to match the pieces. Proceeds from Fusion for a Cause benefitted the Tim Bombard Memorial Scholarship and Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
NU Sanctuary Lounge Situated in a prime position at Town Square by Rave Motion Pictures and near Yard House, is the glowing tree that serves as Nu Sanctuary Lounge's centerpiece. The giant custom tree vibrantly glowing from within reaches across the ceiling and draws patrons in, as does the simulated root pattern segmenting the concrete floor. Both the tree and floor change color in sync with the whole environment — sometimes pure white, sometimes blues, sometimes yellows and reds. Read more about Nu here.
