The real culprits of illegal immigration

The next time your blood pressure starts to rise over the illegal immigration problem, consider the following: Almost all illegal immigrants enter our country for one purpose — to find a job. And who hires them? It is American companies and businesses that are owned, managed and operated by American citizens.

I’m not saying that illegally entering our country is justifiable, but it is understandable. A person born on the less affluent side of an international border has limited opportunities and choices. Even our own Declaration of Independence says all people have certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

What really angers me is American businesses hiring illegal workers so they can have cheaper labor and make more money, but at the same time dumping on the rest of us the social cost of illegal immigrants such as medical care and educating their children. So the next time you get agitated about illegal immigration, save some of that anger for those American interests that employ them. They are the real criminals.
