Metro Police have filed charges against one former and two current employees after a neighboring police department arrested a man in possession of what appeared to be stolen Metro property, authorities said.

Henderson Police notified Metro Police on Feb. 3 of the arrest of a man who had what appeared to be stolen police property, Metro said in a news release.

The property was recovered and several search warrants were served, Metro Police said.

Mark Richard Meier, 45, of Las Vegas, a former Metro employee, has been charged with burglary, embezzlement and possession of stolen property.

Michael Martin Anderson, 39, of Las Vegas and a current Metro employee, was arrested and charged with one count of possession of stolen property.

Bruce Andrew Campbell, 63, of Las Vegas and a current Metro employee, was arrested on a single charge of embezzlement.

Police said both current employees work in Metro’s Fleet Operations Bureau as electronic equipment installers.

Meier had the same job until July 2009.

In their positions, the men worked with police radios, lights and other equipment.

Police said the items they recovered were the type the men would have had access to through their jobs.

An investigation is ongoing, but no other employees are suspected of being involved, police said.
