If you thought the sordid tale of Jim and Dawn Gibbons finally was over after they reached a settlement on the eve of a divorce trial, think again. As the Reno Gazette-Journal’s Martha Bellisle reported this week, the first lady has filed documents accusing her husband, the governor, of trying to scuttle the divorce by not selling their home and by misrepresenting himself to a loan company. The governor claimed he checked the wrong box on the loan application and said he had to refinance the house before putting it on the market. Whatever the truth, this is like the feeling after you finally believe you have seen the last awful sequel to a horror movie and ... you find out you were wrong.
