Subway plans to open new locations across valley

Subway Sandwiches will be adding a few locations in the valley in the coming months, including a new store scheduled to open Friday.

The chain will debut a location on Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway in time for New Year's Eve, said Donna Curry, Subway's development agent in Southern Nevada.

Converted from a former Quizno's, Curry said the restaurant will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. It will be the 17th store Subway has opened in the Las Vegas Valley this year, she said.

Several other locations will open their doors in the first months of 2011.

A third location will be added to UNLV's campus on Jan. 17, Curry said. Another converted Quizno's at the corner of Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard will open Feb. 15, and the Las Vegas Outlet Mall at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Warm Springs Road will add a store on March 1.
