A Las Vegas woman who police say tried to clear airport security in Idaho with a plastic bag containing methamphetamine faces a felony in Ada County, Idaho.
Court records show 47-year-old Rhonda R. Simmons is scheduled to appear in Idaho's 4th District Court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 12.
Simmons was charged Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance.
Police say screeners at the Boise airport asked for assistance after Simmons tried to pass through a security checkpoint with a bag containing about one gram of meth.
Simmons was arrested and released on a $5,000 bond. She has been appointed a public defender.
