Why is the Clark County tax assessor still required by state law to annually publish in a newspaper of general circulation the voluminous assessment roll?
What a waste of time, money and paper that could be used for the School District, which is so much in need of funding. Besides the fact that every property owner receives information in the mail, it can also be accessed online.
Given the dire condition of the county budget, we need to look everywhere to cut expenses. This is a good place to start.
