I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for two wonderfully written letters to the editor on Dec. 17. Thanks to Carol Steffan for the knowledge that I am not alone in wondering when, or if, our country will find the correct path back to honor — back to being of the people. It made me want to speak up more often, and perhaps louder, for this to happen.
And I yelled “Yes!” when I read the letter from Cindy Hanks concerning how few products are now made in America. At the beginning of this year I had started a list of American products as I ran across them, hoping to share the information with others.
However, the list was so short that I gave up. Due to Ms. Hanks’ letter, I am going to start adding to it again, and maybe there will be a noticeable difference as more of us speak up about this issue. Thanks to both for giving me hope again.
