Man critically injured in crash
An 88-year-old man critically injured Thursday when he crashed into a fire hydrant while backing out of his driveway has died, officials said.
Arthur Finkelstein of Las Vegas died Saturday night at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Stacy Acquista said.
The crash happened about 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the 3000 Block Hawksdale Drive, Metro Police said.
As Finkelstein attempted to back out, the car accelerated for unknown reasons in a circle onto a sidewalk, where it hit the hydrant, police said. Finkelstein was ejected from the car, police said.
