Several town hall meetings set to discuss status of city initiatives

Las Vegas residents are invited to a round of town hall meetings in January that will discuss progress on the city projects.

The meetings are part of the city’s “Your City, Your Way” initiative, which started about a year ago to seek public input on the city budget. The upcoming round of meetings is a follow-up to the program.

Residents will hear from their council representatives and other city officials during the meetings, which will take place in each of the six city wards between Jan. 12 and Jan. 27.

City Manager Elizabeth Fretwell will also outline city finances, redevelopment and the results of a “report card” on the city’s top priorities.

Participants will have an opportunity to engage with their elected officials and partake in small-group discussions.

All the meetings will take place starting at 5:30 p.m. at the following locations:

• Jan. 12: Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. (Ward 1)

• Jan. 13: Centennial Hills Community Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive (Ward 6)

• Jan 18: Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St. (Ward 5)

• Jan. 24: East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave. (Ward 3)

• Jan. 25: Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive (Ward 2)

• Jan. 27: Durango Hills Community Center, 3521 N. Durango Drive (Ward 4)
