Special bus line ready for fans going to MAACO Bowl Las Vegas

Football fans going Wednesday to the sold-out MAACO Bowl Las Vegas game between Utah and Boise State can use a special bus line to avoid parking at Sam Boyd Stadium.

The Regional Transportation Commission’s Route 601 bus line operates only for events at Sam Boyd.

The bus line is a loop that runs up Boulder Highway, east on Tropicana Avenue, south on Broadbent Boulevard, and west on Russell Road to get back to Boulder Highway.

The bus will run from noon to 10 p.m. Wednesday for the game. Bus stops are located approximately every one-fourth mile along the loop.

To get to the stadium from other parts of the valley, passengers can transfer to the 601 route from Route 107 on Boulder Highway, which runs to Henderson and to downtown Las Vegas, or Route 201 on Tropicana, which runs to UNLV and the Strip.

Customers are encouraged to purchase a 24-hour pass if they plan to use the bus routes to cover both the pre- and post-game rides.
