Who’s that behind the window at Fukuburger? This Sunday, Wazuzu chef and Weekly blogger Jet Tila will be ditching his Wynn-digs for slightly smaller accommodations as he guest-cooks inside Colin Fukunaga and Robert “Mags” Magsalin’s food truck for an Asian street food pop up dinner.

Tila will add three dishes to Fukuburger’s menu of Asian-influenced burgers and hot dogs—Monkey Curry, Thai Mi Up banh mi and Okinawan chicken and waffles. Each dish will be sold for $6 with $1 going to benefit local charities.

And adding a dash of adult flavor to the festivities, Fukuburger will be setting up shop in Herbs & Rye’s parking lot, with the cocktail bar and restaurant serving its crafted vintage cocktails and offering a warm place for diners to chow down.

“We plan on doing themed pop up dinners every few weeks and will invite other local chefs and food personalities to participate, says Tila. Chances are the first one will draw quite a crowd, so if you want to sample the chef’s street eats, get there early. The window opens at 5 p.m.
