Sandoval makes appointments to administration

CARSON CITY – A former state executive who now lives in Las Vegas has been named director of the state Department of Business and Industry by Gov.-elect Brian Sandoval.

Terry Johnson, who is now director of administration in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, will replace Dianne Cornwall, who was not kept in the new administration.

Sandoval also decided to retain Dino DiCianno as executive director of the state Taxation Department and Teresa Thienhaus as director of the Personnel Department.

Johnson served as director of the state Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation and was state labor commissioner for five years.

Sandoval said Johnson “will help my administration make Nevada an even more business-friendly state.”
