Longtime fire official named Henderson deputy chief

Henderson fire battalion chief Jeff Lytle was promoted Thursday to serve as deputy fire chief, Henderson City Manager Mark Calhoun said.

Lytle has been with the Henderson Fire Department for 22 years.

“We know that he is someone highly capable and committed to continuing the tradition of providing the best emergency services possible to our residents,” Calhoun said in a statement.

Lytle rose through the ranks during his tenure as a firefighter, paramedic and fire engineer. He was one of the original paramedics when the department’s paramedic program was founded in 1989.

An opening for the deputy fire chief position came earlier this year when former deputy chief Brad Fuller retired.

“Jeff Lytle is an exceptional individual with an impressive career in the fire services and all Henderson residents should feel confident,” fire chief Doug Stevens said in a statement.
