Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly will help the distribute toys to students at the Fay Herron Elementary School Friday morning.
Weekly is joining the National Latino Peace Officers Association in their annual toy drive called “Christmas en El Barrio,” an annual event that benefits underprivileged children in the community.
This year the association chose to give the gifts to the North Las Vegas elementary school, Fay Herron, 2421 N. Kenneth Way.
“I would like to thank the many, many people whose generosity is helping us give these students a holiday gift,” Weekly said. “Too many of our friends and neighbors are struggling and this program lightens their load while putting smiles on kids faces.”
