A family was displaced after a fire damaged a home late Monday in the eastern Las Vegas Valley.

Clark County firefighters responded at 9:48 p.m. to the blaze at 4220 Annie Oakley Drive, near the U.S. 95 and Flamingo Road interchange. No one was injured.

The three adults and two children who lived at the home were being helped by the American Red Cross. Damage to the 1,800-square-foot, single-family home is estimated at $100,000, officials said.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire minutes after arriving, but not before it killed four family cats, officials said. One dog escaped the home and another dog was revived by paramedics after suffering from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
