Brief: Events at Cimarron-Memorial High School

Cimarron-Memorial High School staff members will participate in two functions this week: one to celebrate student achievement and the other to give back to the community.

The high school will recognize on Wednesday more than 400 students who have attained perfect attendance and 37 students who have achieved straight A’s during the first quarter.

The celebration will take place between 8 and 10 a.m. Dec. 15 in the high school cafeteria, 2301 N. Tenaya Way.

Later this week, about 40 Cimarron-Memorial High School staff volunteers will partner with the Las Vegas City Mission to feed the homeless.

Staff members have participated in this annual community service event for the past nine years. They will be meeting on Saturday morning at the Las Vegas City Mission, 2214 North Pecos Road.

The two events are not open to the public.
