LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Some out of work hurt by tax-cut compromise

Nevada has 26,000 “99ers” — those who have exhausted their 99 weeks of unemployment benefits — who will no longer have the means to either feed their families, keep a roof over their heads or even provide their children during this time of “holiday cheer” a gift or a tree to put it under.

Can someone out there clue me in on the time and date when humanity no longer was a consideration in the thinking of our government? What could the thought process have been when the parties were negotiating on tax cuts.

Did they all agree that the 99ers had enough time to find jobs and therefore they obviously don’t want to work? Or that they really enjoy barely being able to provide for their families? I know someone out there has an answer for me.
