Work to widen roads near the Strip will restrict traffic on Paradise and Desert Inn roads this week.
Southbound Paradise Road will be reduced to one lane between Convention Center Drive and Sands Avenue from today to Thursday. Bus stops in the area also will be closed.
In addition, Desert Inn Road may be closed between Paradise Road and Valley View Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the same days.
Crews will be removing and replacing asphalt as part of a project to widen Paradise Road.
The project, expected to continue until May, also includes installing utilities, modifying traffic signals and resurfacing existing asphalt.
