Henderson rec centers offer childcare over holiday break

With winter break around the bend, parents can sign their kids up for the city of Henderson's "Kid Zone" at the Silver Springs and Valley View recreation centers. The program will hold two sessions: Dec. 20-23 and Dec. 27-30.

Held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, the program is designed to "entertain and enrich Henderson youth," the city's parks and recreation department said in a news release.

Games, arts and crafts and interactive learning activities are designed to keep children busy during the break. The program is open to children ages 5-12; children must be currently enrolled in school.

Cost is $72 per week. Register online or in-person while space is available. For more information, call 702-263-2323.
