Pedestrian struck
A pedestrian who was hit by a car Thursday night on Sahara Avenue near 6th Street died after being transported to Sunrise Hospital, Metro Police said.
Police said they received a call at 9:02 p.m. of a car hitting a man on Sahara Avenue in the eastbound lane. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital in critical condition, police said. His name was not immediately released.
The eastbound and westbound lanes of Sahara Avenue, west of 6th Street, will remain closed until police finish their investigation.
