I am so sick of hearing about the tax cuts for the wealthy. No one is mentioning the seniors of this country. We worked for years and years and now the only ones that members of Congress — both Republicans and Democrats — seem to be worried about are our most wealthy citizens.
What happens to so many of us on fixed incomes and who depend on Social Security for most of our income? We haven’t received a cost-of-living increase in two years and, believe me, the cost of everything has gone up.
They even have forgotten about the measly $250 one-time payment we might have gotten — you don’t hear about that anymore. Oh no, they have to worry about the wealthy so politicians can depend on their contributions.
What a sad state of affairs this country has become. Well, Michelle Obama, I am not proud of our country anymore, and I bet I’m not the only person who feels that way, especially the seniors of this country.
