Body found

A 54-year-old man killed by his stepson Saturday morning while the two were arguing during a drive home has been identified as Kenneth Wesley Guyer, of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

The coroner ruled his death a homicide from multiple blunt force injuries as a result of being run over by a vehicle.

Police said 27-year-old Audey Miller fatally beat and ran over Guyer in a desert area near Spencer Street and Pebble Road on Saturday morning after Guyer told him to get out of the vehicle. Miller later shot and killed himself in the vehicle on Bonnie Springs Road, near State Road 159, when officers approached him in relation to his stepfather's death.

Police are calling the deaths an apparent murder-suicide that unfolded over several hours early Saturday morning.

Authorities said a passerby found Guyer's body in a desert area near Spencer Street and Pebble Road about 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Police said he appeared to have died from blunt force trauma to the head and multiple blunt force trauma injuries to his body.

Guyer had gone with his stepson to a friend's home to drink the night before, but the two never returned home, officials said. A missing persons report was filed for Guyer shortly before officers found his body, police said.

Investigators said the two had been arguing at the friend's house, then decided to leave. On their way home, Guyer ordered Miller out of the vehicle at the intersection of Pebble and Spencer, but Miller pulled his stepfather out of the driver's side of the car and began to beat him, police said.

Miller then allegedly got into the vehicle and ran over his stepfather several times, killing him, police said.

Police found the victim's vehicle several hours later on Bonnie Springs Road. As officers approached the car, Miller pulled out a shotgun and shot himself, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
