North Las Vegas Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man late Saturday morning.

Police received two 911 calls at about 11 a.m., one reporting that shots were fired in a house in the 3400 block of Lonesome Drum Street and the other reporting a man injured nearby on Old Moccasin Avenue, North Las Vegas Police Sgt. Tim Bedwell said.

The two streets are next to Marvin Sedway Middle School near Colton Avenue and Revere Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds on Old Moccasin Avenue. The man was alert and talking and had a child with him, Bedwell said.

He was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, but police said the man's injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.

When police arrived, no one was at the house on Lonesome Drum Street where shots had been reported, Bedwell said.

Police said they believe the man was shot in the home and then somehow got around the corner to Old Moccasin Avenue where he was found, Bedwell said. No arrests have been made.
