Las Vegas Valley residents traveling to Southern California might want to give themselves extra travel time for construction delays during the weekend.
The Nevada Department of Transportation said lanes will be closed on southbound Interstate 15 near the California state line from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The interstate will be reduced to two lanes instead of the usual three from mile marker 19 north of Jean to the state line at Primm to allow crews to re-pave the road.
I-15 is also under construction in the Las Vegas Valley from Silverado Ranch Boulevard to Tropicana Avenue, but no new lane changes or closures are scheduled for this weekend.
