The City of Lights Chorus, along with six barbershop quartets and a women’s quartet, will perform an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” on Dec. 11.
“What the Dickens!” is a humorous twist on the holiday classic, adding Christmas carols such as “Silver Bells,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night.”
Families are invited to the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, on Saturday, Dec. 11 to watch the show, which begins at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for seniors and children under 12. The tickets may be purchased on the county’s website.
The 35-member City of Lights Chorus is a local affiliate of the national Barbershop Harmony Society, which has helped organize the chorus and several barbershop quartets – a style of a cappella with four vocalists – in the valley for 10 years.
