Metro Police released surveillance video images today of a pair of robbers who punched a convenience store clerk in the face while stealing beer in early October.

Police said the two men entered the store, near Rainbow Boulevard and Westcliff Drive in the western valley, about 4:50 a.m. Oct. 9. They each grabbed an 18-pack of beer, then got into a verbal altercation with the store clerk, police said.

One man punched the clerk in the face while another picked up a case of beer before they fled, officials said.

Police described one suspect as a 20- to 25-year-old man, about 5-feet-10-inches to 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 155 to 160 pounds. He has a tattoo of "702" under his left eye and was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The second man was about 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-9-inches tall and 165 to 170 pounds with tattoos covering most of his right arm. Police said he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
