Police said an apparent drunken driver crashed a stolen vehicle into a Metro Police patrol car this afternoon near Cimarron Road and Hammer Lane.
Police responded at 3:08 p.m. to reports of a two-door, gray Mitsubishi driving erratically near Lone Mountain Road and Durango Drive. Police pursued the vehicle until the driver rammed into a patrol car, authorities said.
The suspect ran from the scene. The officer in the police cruiser wasn't injured.
Police set up a perimeter, but finished their search after they weren't able to find the suspect. Authorities discovered the car was stolen and found drug paraphernalia inside.
