The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles issued a nationwide alert in hopes of determining the identity of a fraud suspect in Las Vegas.

Officials arrested the man — who is being held as "John Doe" in the Clark County Detention Center — when he tried to apply for a duplicate Nevada identification card under the name of Frank Anthony Bimbo on Nov. 22.

The man's DMV record had been flagged as a suspected fraud case by the department's Facial Recognition System, officials said. The man has at least 11 different identities, including 10 Nevada records between 1997 and 2007.

Based on records, authorities believe the man is 23 to 38 years old. The suspect, who was wanted for multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants under several identities, was charged with two felony offenses related to the Nov. 22 arrest, officials said. His bail is set at $35,000 with three initial court appearances scheduled through January.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the DMV Compliance Enforcement Division at (702) 486-8626.
