Henderson announces performers for fall concert series

The city of Henderson has announced its fall 2010 concert series – and it’s chock full of blasts from the ’80s and ’90s. All concerts take place at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

Weird Al Yankovic is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Aug. 20. Tickets will start at $25.

At 7 p.m. Aug. 28, KLUC will host its End of Summer Block Party. Tickets are $19.85. "Camp Rock" start Meaghan Martin will host the bash while Big Time Rush, H*WooD, The Fulcos and The Stunners perform.

Celtic Woman will perform Irish music and contemporary songs at 8 p.m. Sept. 5. Tickets start at $30.

Smash Mouth will perform their hits, such as “Walking on the Sun” and “All Star,” at 8 p.m. Sept. 11. Tickets start at $10.

On Sept. 17 and Oct. 29, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. Entry is free.

Prices haven't been set for Power 88’s Super Soul Gospel Fest at 1 p.m. Oct. 2. The family-friendly event is expected to run into the evening.

Exposé will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 9 with All-4-One and P.M. Dawn. The concert – which costs $10 – will feature hits from the 1980s and 1990s.

Country performers Kenny Rogers, Montgomery Gentry and Glen Campbell will perform at the Nevada Wild West Music Fest, which benefits the Lili Claire Foundation for children with special needs. The festival will last from Oct. 15 – 17 and concerts will begin at 6 p.m. each night. Tickets start at $25.

The Las Vegas Youth Orchestras will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 23. Tickets start at $5. The concert will feature musicians ages 8 to 18.
