UNLV police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred at the university’s student union Monday afternoon.
A man entered the U.S. Bank branch at about 4:20 p.m. and handed the teller a note, UNLV spokesman Dave Tonelli said.
The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money. The robber then ran in the direction of Maryland Parkway, Tonelli said.
He said no weapons were seen and no injuries were reported.
He said he wasn’t sure how many students were in the union at the time of the robbery.
“It’s summertime, so it’s relatively slow,” Tonelli said.
Tonelli said UNLV police, Metro Police and the FBI are looking for the man, described as being in his 30s.
