Pedestrian struck

A 61-year-old woman was in critical condition Thursday night after she was hit by a car while crossing West Tropicana Avenue near a bus stop, Metro Police said.

The woman was identified as Robin Moss of Las Vegas.

She was crossing West Tropicana Avenue, north to south near the intersection with South Arville Street, about 8 p.m. when she was hit by a car headed east on Tropicana, police said. Moss was not in a marked crosswalk, Metro Lt. Dave McGrath said.

Neither the driver of the car, a 27-year-old Las Vegas woman, nor her passenger, a 49-year-old man from Ohio, were injured, police said.

Moss was taken to University Medical Center with traumatic injuries, McGrath said.

The incident remains under investigation by Metro’s Accident Investigation Section.
