Death investigation
A body was found today at a Las Vegas motel by a construction worker who noticed a foul smell coming from one of the rooms, police said.
Metro Police spokeswoman Officer Barbara Morgan said the construction worker saw the door cracked open at 12:44 p.m. at the Star Motel, 1418 Third St., and smelled something coming from the room. She said the worker entered the room and found the body.
Authorities said the victim has been identified as a man but his age hasn't been determined.
Morgan said the body had been in the motel for several days. She said it doesn't appear the man died from natural causes.
His vehicle couldn't be found in the motel parking lot, she said.
