Suspicious item in Kmart shopping cart not a threat

Metro Police have determined that an unusual item found at a Kmart store on Sunset Road in a shopping cart is not a threat.

Metro spokesman Bill Cassell said officers received a call shortly after noon today that an unusual item was in a shopping cart at the Kmart store at 3760 East Sunset Road.

Officers closed South Sandhill Road during the investigation but it has been reopened.
