Suspicious suitcase on Spring Mountain Road not a threat

Metro Police have determined that a suspicious suitcase found on Spring Mountain Road this morning is not a threat.

Metro spokeswoman Officer Barbara Morgan said police received a call about 11:18 a.m. that a gray suitcase had been left in the 5200 block of Spring Mountain Road, which is near the intersection of West Desert Inn Road and South Decatur Boulevard.

Morgan said no evacuations were made and the scene has been cleared by Metro’s Armor Unit.
