Stabbing location

Metro Police are searching for three men in connection with a suspected gang-related triple stabbing Sunday night that left a woman with critical injuries.

Metro spokesman Jay Rivera said the stabbing occurred about 11:53 p.m. near the intersection of Oakey and Las Vegas boulevards. Police said three men came across a woman walking in the 1300 block of Rexford Place and asked her where she was from. Rivera said the men were asking which gang the woman was in.

The woman told the men she was from Las Vegas and all three of them began stabbing her, police said. Two other men tried to help the woman and were also stabbed, Rivera said.

Police said all three victims were taken to a hospital. Rivera said the two men were treated and released. The woman was hospitalized in critical condition, he said.

The three suspects are described as Hispanic men with shaved heads, in their late 20s with thin builds, weighing about 130 pounds, police said.

Authorities said a beating that occurred before the stabbing nearby in the 1700 block of Santa Paula was unrelated but also involved three suspects.
