Suspicious package Las Vegas Academy not a threat

The Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Bomb Squad has determined that a suspicious package found at the Las Vegas Academy this morning by Clark County School District Police is not a threat.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said a man dropped the package off about 10 a.m. at the school on 315 S. 7th St. It was probed but is not a threat to the area, he said.

The school is closed for spring break, Rivera said.
